Timehop - Memories Then & Now App Reviews

No way to turn this off in settings. Going to delete.

Now, after the updates, with the stupid videos automatically starting to play. And now that we cant click on a photo to view it or save it, the app is sort of useless. And now that Facebook had offered a similar feature, where you can look back on that day in the past, its becoming less necessary. The fact that it also has Dropbox is nice, but what about Amazon photos? Im trying to decide if this is the time to delete it. I look at it less and less frequently, because it annoys me after the changes.

Why do you guys insist on changing this app? I keep having your stupid retro video load but yet pictures that I actually want to see will not!! Please at least give me the option to turn it off

Its a good app in theory it just isnt executed as well as it could be. An app this simple shouldnt be so user unfriendly. The retrovideo feature auto plays with no option to stop it from doing so. Also it seems to update at 6am-ish regardless of the time zone I set. Why cant it update at midnight when the day begins?

Dont like the retro update

Miss the save photo option. I dont always want to post things, please dont force me to. The retrovideo is cute but Ahhhh!!! Dont need to hear it. Start on mute, not loud sounds! Otherwise, its such a great idea and love being able to see my days from different sources.

This app is used to be my favorite because I loved seeing abe, but with the new update he doesnt even show up anymore, I dont like the retrovideo idea, abe is nowhere to be found BRING ABE BACK

The autoplaying videos is annoying. Its got to go.

This app was cool when it showed you your posts from previous years, and recently they added the ability to save your posts. They too that out of the recent update so the only option is to share. Then they added automatically playing video to the end of every post, which pauses your music and makes you go back to turn it on, even if you didnt watch the video (which I wont do on principle of you arent going to let me choose when to start it) Those two things have killed any semblance of a good user experience. If this is the direction this app is heading Im bailing out now.

Awful update.

I used to really like this app before Retrovideo was added to it. I hate that when it was first released you were not only given no choice but to accept it in order to view your feed, but you dont get a choice after the fact to ever turn it off, even under settings. Not only do I not care at all about whats in the video, but it is also super disruptive and makes me want to exit the app as soon as possible. This recent update is terrible and I hope it gets switched back to how it was soon!!

Ugh

The new Retro Video feature is horribly bothersome. It plays loud audio when I scroll down even when my phone is on silent. There is no setting to turn off the auto play feature. Also, its annoying that I cant open and zoom in on a photo any longer. This update is not one that was beneficial.

I used to love Timehop until its most recent update. The Retrovideo feature is extremely annoying and interferes with any sound already coming from my phone. Unacceptable. App deleted until this is fixed.

With the latest update that now plays video of the past, I now have to suffer someone elses idea of what was important in the most annoying way. With no option to switch back to the simple silent your choice of the past, its time to uninstall this app and just look forward instead of back!

I used to really like Timehop, but the most recent update has added autoplay videos with full sound. There seems to be no way to turn this off. Im hoping an update fixes this. Im not opening up the app again until the "feature" is removed.

I see no way to not have the new videos at the bottom play. This is terrible user experience. Will stop using soon if this doesnt change.

The reviews are in: people hate that they cant save the pictures - THEIR PICTURES - by just tapping on them and hitting save. Now that you know this, please revert back to what it was.

Used to be one of my favorite apps, but now I cant use it. The autoplay video with sound (despite me having my phone sound switched off), and no settings to change this feature, means I wont use this app again until they update and fix it.

Get rid of it!!! I cant believe it overrides your sound settings! I work in an open space environment and it started blasting music. It startled me and embarrassed me in front o day co-workers! Get rid of it!
